Great beads
begin with great wood
woodyland.store makes only natural wood bracelets. Our main wood is Pterocarpus santalinus from the Mysore region of India—fine-grained and full of oil. Our agarwood comes from Nha Trang, Vietnam, where the resin forms slowly and the scent stays deep.
We stay away from compressed wood, dyed beads, and synthetic fragrance. Every strand differs in grain, color, and weight—because real wood was never meant to be identical.

02 · Craft
Five steps. No shortcuts.
A machine can turn out hundreds of strands a day. Ours pass through five hand-worked stages. Slowness is the least we owe the wood.

Wood Selection
We use old-growth Pterocarpus santalinus from Mysore, India—fine-grained, stable, and rich in natural oil. The right wood is the first step toward a bracelet that lasts.

Cutting
Each piece is cut along the grain, keeping only the densest heartwood. Every saw stroke avoids cracks, knots, and hidden flaws.

Drilling
Holes are positioned and drilled slowly by hand. A centered bore lets the beads sit straight, feel balanced, and move smoothly on the wrist.

Sanding
From coarse to fine grit, again and again, until the surface warms into a soft, glass-like sheen—never a glossy factory finish.

Polishing
Finally, a light rub with cotton cloth and beeswax lets the grain breathe. Only then is a strand of beads truly finished.
03 · Heritage
The marks of the hand
are warmth, not flaws
Every bead carries its own pores and golden flecks. Every bracelet has its own weight and feel. These are not industrial “imperfections”—they are the personality of the wood itself.
We leave the work to experienced hands. They do not chase “perfect” measurements with calipers. They read the wood—knowing when to stop and when to keep going, because the wood tells them.
